I am Martha Sarabia
✨ First Post: I Am Martha Sarabia ✨
Hello and welcome!
My name is Martha Sarabia. I am an Afro-Latina Garífuna woman from Honduras, a mother, an author, and a proud college graduate. My roots are deep, my voice is strong, and my story is still being written.
As a Garífuna woman, I carry with me a culture rich in history, strength, and resilience. I write to honor that legacy and to create space for voices like mine—voices that are often overlooked but never silent.
My journey has not been easy. I’ve had to balance motherhood, education, and personal growth all at once. But through every challenge, I’ve held on to my purpose: to rise, to write, and to inspire.
Through this page, I hope to share parts of who I am—my culture, my books, my thoughts, and my lived experiences as a Black Central American woman navigating spaces that were never designed for us.
This is more than a scholar site. It’s a reflection of my journey through dreams, books, and degrees.
